The Back Room at the Mill in Bristol, New Hampshire hosts a Saturday concert seriesGood food, fudge and ice cream available as well.

After traipsing all over the south this winter in search of local live music I have decided to pay my home state of New Hampshire  the same honor and attention. Maybe we will expand that to cover northern New England – VT/NH/ME. First up in our New Hampshire local live music seeking tour is the Bradford Bog People, a trio of non-amplified acoustic musicians from Bradford, New Hampshire. Bradford is the home of Odds Bodkin as well as the Bradford Bog People.

Linda of the Mill, with a marvelous  Scot’s accent to boot,  introduced the Saturday Concert Series and the Bradford Bog People to a nigh close to capacity crowd.

The Bradford Boggers play non-amplified good old time music. The music has been researched and a tid bit of that research precedes each song.

The trio of musicians comprising the Bradford Bog People are Beth Eldridge (vocals, guitar, fiddle and bass) and Woody Pringle (banjo, fiddle, mandolin) both of Bradford. They are joined by Tii McLane (vocals, fiddle, banjo and guitar as well as a floor shifting clogging accompaniment) of the Green Mountain State of Vermont.

(Note the change in the quality of the light as the sun set and the natural light disappeared out of the mix.)

Check out the band and the venue.

Great Music, Brews and Food on a Saturday Night : The Back Room at the Mill.

Our next foray down the live local NH music path will be Newfound Grass of Newfound, NH, right up the road from the Back Room at the Mill.
