Varying Expectations: North Country vs Suburban Boston

Unbeknownst to us we have found our way into a parallel universe, that of either the Mercedes-Benz owner or the moneyed suburban Bostonian.
We are proud owners of a new to us Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Airstream Westaflia. A niche vehicle if ever there was one. Do you remember the VW Westfalia campers of the past; fast forward to a Westfalia conversion on a M-B Sprinter chassis eleven feet tall. Combine that with gift the of having the time and some inherited resources that are allowing us to travel and photograph the country side. We struggled with whether to tow a couple of scooters or a small car, four done. We were able to find a new stripped down, as in no radio, ‘Pure’ model Smart Car being sold by (Herb Chambers) Mercedes-Benz in Lynnfield, Massachusetts for $12,500.00. Yes we are spending money but in the grand scheme of things not a lot of money.
Our intent is to tow the Smart Car four down behind the Sprinter camper van. This is entirely possible and will happen.  The necessary tow package and base plate was ordered from etrailers.com some where out in the mid-west (St Louis area).  Nice people, good telephone service and the parts arrived in a timely manner to the Mercedes-Benz dealership in Lynnfield. Lynnfield, Massachusetts and Conway, New Hampshire are 2 and 1/2 hours apart in two different but conjoining states. Lynnfield is suburban Route One Boston and spends its discretionary income in Conway/North Conway when up to their second homes.
Conway comes to Lynnfield. Northern New Hampshire comes to the northern burbs of Boston. In the process of being on our way on this road trip of ours and picking up the Smart Car from the M-B dealership the guy they subcontracted with left them a little in the lurch and the 9AM pickup time became a mid-afternoon pickup time. Yes we have been inconvenienced some but we are on our way.  The folks at the dealership have extended themselves above and beyond what our expectations are; are these northern Boston  Route One burb expectations or M-B dealership expectations.  They certainly aren’t North Country NH expectations. They almost make me feel uncomfortable since they are not my expectations or needs.
Which is the parallel universe: Mercedes-Benz ownership or Conway comes to Lynnfield?

I must admit that this is one great insight. It absolutely offers an organization the opportunity to get in on the bottom flooring and actually participate in creating one thing special and tailor-made to their needs.

Valuable thoughts and advices. I read your topic with great interest. I can like one era and try to convince people of why it is the best, but invariably, someone else will have just as many good reasons why his or hers is the best.
