Steve,
We visited Port Aransas with your mom and dad several years ago while on an elderhostel. I believe we stayed in Galveston. As your pictures document, the “birding” was excellent. As I recall, this the the area the “whooping” cranes spend the winter. We could see them off in the distance. We hope you will visit WNY on your way back home.
